I'd written and illustrated the article below,
about T-shirts made of a 50/50 mix of recycled
plasic bottles and ethically sourced organic cotton.
A conversation followed where a potential project was created.
I named it 'The Tee Issue,' a T-shirt which addresses
an issue too!
We quickly got the go ahead from The Big Issue board,
resolved the logistics, finance, commissioned the street
artist Mau Mau and launched through The Big Issue online
shop (which I'd built as well).
300+ sold in just 6 weeks, and it's still selling strongly today.
